Boy working at Bommai’s home was infected earlier
BENGALURU:
Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai tested Covid- positive on Wednesday, having possibly caught the infection from a boy working at his home.
Bommai tweeted, “The infection was confirmed in the Covid-19 test yesterday for a boy in our home. Against this backdrop, I have also been tested and am also infected…those who have come in direct contact with me recently are urged to immediately get tested and take appropriate precautions.”
He said he had no symptoms, was healthy and had isolated at home.
On Tuesday, Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraj had tested Covid-positive.
