BENGALURU:

Health Minister B Sriramulu announced on Sunday that he would hold a meeting next week with government doctors who have been agitating after the suicide of Najangud Taluk Health Officer Dr Nagendra.

On Sunday, Health Minister B Sriramulu tweeted about the issue and promised that action would be taken at a meeting next week to discuss issues with the department’s medical staff.

Sriramulu tweeted that the doctors had withdrawn their protest after his assurance that remedial action would be taken in consultation with the Chief Minister.

“All of you need to take care of people in a situation where Covid is spreading. Thanks to all the doctors who have withdrawn their protest in the public interest,” he added.
