Green Line Metro Services Restored After 45-Minute Power Disruption
Bengaluru, July 21: Normal services on Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Green Line resumed at 8:45 am on Monday after a power breakdown temporarily disrupted operations between Yeshwanthpur and Madavara stations, according to the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
BMRCL said the power disruption, which began around 8 am, forced Green Line trains to operate in a short-loop service between Silk Institute and Yeshwanthpur. During the disruption, there were no Metro services between Yeshwanthpur and Madavara.
The corporation said its technical teams worked on a war footing to restore the power supply and normal operations.
Following the restoration of power at 8:45 am, BMRCL announced that normal revenue services had resumed across the entire Green Line. The corporation thanked commuters for their patience and cooperation during the disruption.
