Govt cautions to take action against Service Centers for demanding extra money from public
BENGALURU:
It has come to the notice of Govt that some of the Grama One, Karnataka One, and Bengaluru One center are demanding money from the public to register the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
The State Government has as a result of this categorically stated that the registration of Gruha Jyothi is entirely free of cost, consumers need not pay an extra amount for registration except service charge of Rs.20 fixed by these centers. If any center is found to violate the same, strict penal action will be taken, the Govt added.
