Follow the PM’s precautionary advice: Vajubhai Vala

BENGALURU:

Backing the PM’s call to all citizens to observe a ‘Janata curfew’ on Sunday, March 22, Governor Vajubhai Vala has urged the people of Karnataka to wholeheartedly do the same.

The Governor’s message reads:

“I also appeal to the people of Karnataka to observe the ‘Janata curfew’ on Sunday, March 22, from 7 am to 9 pm. At 5 pm on that day we should thank doctors, paramedical staff, media, cleaning staff, etc., for their service by clapping or ringing bells. We should also keep in mind the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India’s following valuable advice to fight against Covid-19:

# Social distancing is important and effective.
# Avoid panic buying.
# Senior citizens between the age of 60-65 and children below 10 should stay at home.
# Traders as well as the affluent to look after their staff and not penalize them for absence on duty.
# Avoid going to hospital for routine check-ups.
# An economic response task force will be formed to deal with economic challenges arising out of Covid-19.
