Infosys funding facilities at cost of Rs 30 crore
BENGALURU:
Following a visit on Wednesday to the BBMP building on Broadway Road in Shivajinagar, which is being developed as a full-fledged Covid hospital, Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar said Infosys Foundation was providing the necessary infrastructure for the hospital at a cost of Rs.30 crore. The hospital will be functional in 10 days, he said.
Initially, the hospital will have 180 beds with high-flow oxygen lines. 30 ventilators will be provided to start with
The hospital will also have a neuro-surgery OT, a cardiology OT and CT scan facilities, the minister said.
Dr.Sudhakar also visited Bowring Hospital and interacted with the patients via video conferencing. He claimed the patients were ‘happy’ with the treatment and food provided.
The minister instructed the hospital officials to submit a ‘death audit’ report in view of a large number of deaths at the hospital.
