During the current lockdown, a small organization named Surya Foundation headed by two youths, Puneet T and Saravana, is a source of hope for people who cannot afford essential medicines.
Puneeth said, “I have studied engineering but am now involved in this social activity. Many organisations are working to provide food for the poor, but I feel medication is also a basic need for the poor.”
The Surya Foundation team is reaching out the poor across the city with free medicines for health problems such as BP, diabetes and arthritis. It currently provides 25 families with free medicines.
