BENGALURU:

Speculations arose about former Dy CM Laxman Savadi’s potential switch to the BJP following Jagaidsh Shettar’s move to the party. However, Savadi firmly stated his stance, asserting that he will not be joining the BJP.

Savadi met Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru to discuss their political strategies.

He said, “I will not join BJP.”

Savadi reiterated his loyalty to his current party, emphasizing that he did not defect to the Congress when they made their decision. While he maintains a close friendship with Shivakumar, Savadi was unaware of his colleague’s decision to join the BJP.

Regarding ministerial positions, Savadi believes it is premature to discuss them at this stage. He is committed to following the party’s directives and is willing to travel to Delhi if required.”
