After meeting Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday, Education Minister Suresh Kumar said a final call on the SSLC exam will taken on May 18.
There were discussions on the number of children in a room, on masks and related matters, according to a statement by Suresh Kumar.
Private schools had been told not to collect the next year’s fees, but they had expressed difficulty over paying staff salaries. Hence, it was suggested that they collect the fees only with with the parents’ consent, the minister said.
Also present at the meeting at the CM’s Home Office ‘Krishna’ were MLCs from teachers’ and graduates’ constituencies.
