BENGALURU:
Senior BJP Leader and former Karnataka Minister K S Eshwarappa on Wednesday urged party State President Nalin Kumar Kateel to suspend Yatnal without giving notice seeking explanation for his statement that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will not continue in his post for a long time as the party Central leaders have decided to remove him very soon.
Stating that the party will take disciplinary action against Yatnal, he said that “I urge Nalin Kumar Kateel to remove him (Yatnal) from the party without giving notice seeking explanation”.
Talking to newsmen here, Eshwarappa alleged that he (Yatnal) attended the State working Committee meeting held recently in the city and though he (Yatnal) was also present, he did not speak anything against the Chief Minister. “But now to get cheap publicity, he is making a statement which is far from the truth. disciplinary action should be taken against him and the party will deal at the appropriate time.”
Eshwarappa said that Yatnal is repeating his statement several times. However, he should have learnt by this time that repeating a false statement will not change the party’s stand on what is true. There was no move to change Yediyurappa and just because Yatnal is claiming so and repeating it frequently the party’s stand will not change.
Meanwhile, party State president Kateel has in a tweet stated that there is no possibility of changing Chief Minister and Yediyurappa will continue to be the head for the remaining three year period. (Agnecy)
