Election Eve Special: Metro Trains to Run till 12:35 am in Bengaluru on April 27

BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited has announced an extension of metro services in Bengaluru beyond the usual operating hours in preparation for the Lok Sabha polls. The metro service will now run until 12:35 am on April 27, ahead of the elections scheduled for April 26.

According to a statement released by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, “In view of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 taking place in Bengaluru on April 26, 2024, Namma Metro is extending its last train services from all four major terminal stations – Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Challaghatta, and Whitefield (Kadugodi) – until 11:55 pm.”

The statement also mentioned that the last train departing from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station Majestic in all directions will leave at 12:35 am on April 27.

“For the convenience of commuters, the last train from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station Majestic in all directions will now depart at 12:35 am on April 27. We urge all passengers to take note of this schedule change for their travel arrangements,” the statement added.

The Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka are set to take place in two phases, with polling scheduled for April 26 and May 7. The results will be announced on June 4.
