BENGALURU:

Amid record rains reported in May 2022 (which have broken a 51-year record for the month), Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has constituted a zonal task force for each of the 8 BBMP zones under the chairmanship of Ministers from Bengaluru.

Bommai tweeted on Sunday: “To tackle the rain-related problems, I have constituted a zonal task force in all 8 zones of BBMP. The zonal task force is headed by a Cabinet Minister and consists of all MLAs/MLCs/MPs and zonal officers.”

In another tweet, Bommai shared details of the ministers who will be taking care of the 8 zones in Bengaluru.

“Shri @R Ashoka BJP:South Zone, Shri @DrAshwath CN:East Zone, Shri @V Somanna BJP: West Zone, Shri @ST Somashekar MLA:RR Nagar, Shri @BA Basavaraja: Mahadevapura, Shri @Gopalaiah K: Bommanahalli, Shri @Munirathna MLA: Yalahanka and Dasarahalli,” the tweet reads.
