In an incident late on Monday night, around 150 relatives of a deceased Covid patient attacked a junior doctor at BIMS Hospital here.
A 36-year-old woman from Chikkodi was hospitalized late on Monday due with symptoms of breathlessnes. She died without responding to treatment, following which her relatives assaulted and hurled footwear at the doctor.
Following a protest by he medical staff, Medical Superintendent Dr. Girish Dandagi convinced them to get back to work, saying a complaint would be filed with the police against the assailants.
