Customs seize Rs 32.96 lakh worth gold smuggled from Dubai
MANGALURU:
Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport have seized gold worth Rs 32,96,800 from a passenger who arrived by a Spice Jet flight from Dubai on Tuesday night.
Official sources said on Wednesday that the 24 carat gold weighed 634 grams. The accused was carrying the gold in powdered form in his body.
The accused was identified as Aboobakker Siddique of Mangaluru.
