Bengaluru recovery rate increase of 20.75%: Sudhakar
BENGALURU:
Karnataka has improved its recovery rate in the last 7 days and has now crossed the 50% mark, said Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar on Thursday.
While the recovery rate has increased by 11.37% in the state, it has increased by 20.75% in Bengaluru.
Briefing the media, Sudhakar said that India is ‘far ahead’ of the US in the fight against Covid. The US mortality rate is at 3.25% while India’s is at 2.09%. Karnataka has done extremely well in keeping the mortality rate low, he said.
“Deaths/million population in Delhi is about 204 and it is 42 in Karnataka. Today, we have conducted 48,421 tests which is the highest so far. 95 labs are functional in the state, and have conducted 15.81 lakh tests till date,” he added.
