BENGALURU:
In other times, March 21 would have been a joyous occasion for the small Parsi community in Bengaluru. The day marks the spring festival of Jamshidi Nowruz, and also marks the official New Year in Iran.
However, with Covid-19 fears leaving no section untouched, the trustees of the Bangalore anjuman have advised members of the community not to come in close contact with other worshippers during the ‘jashan’ (special prayers) on March 21.
Also, a list of precautionary do’s and don’ts has been prepared for the benefit of visitors to the community’s temple on Queen’s Road.
