Mysuru again 2,750 positives, followed by 1,302 in Tumakuru
BENGALURU:
On Sunday, Bengaluru, reported another spike of 21,199 Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, while Karnataka reported another spike of 37,733 cases overall.
Karnataka has now over 4.21 lakh active cases, of which 2.81 lakh are in Bengaluru alone.
After Bengaluru, Mysuru has also reported another spike of 2,750 positive cases reported on Sunday. Tumakuru reported 1,302, Ballari 1,156, Dakshina Kannada 996, followed by other districts.

Bengaluru also witnessed 64 deaths, while the state reported 217, taking Karnataka’s case fatality rate to 0.57%. The state’s positivity rate now stands at an alarming 23.82%.
The day also saw 10,361 patients getting discharged after recovery in Bengaluru, while Karnataka overall saw 21,149 discharges.
Cumulatively, 16.01 lakh Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 16,011 deaths and 11,64,398 discharges,the Health Department said in a bulletin.
Among the 217 deaths reported on Sunday, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 64, Ballari (18), Chamarajanagara (15),Tumakuru (13), Shivamogga (12), Hassan (11), followed by others.
