Minister organizes event in Rajajinagar
BENGALURU:
Residents of Rajajinagar on Sunday expressed their gratitude to doctors, paramedics, sanitation staff and other ‘corona warriors’ by showering them with flowers.
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Suresh Kumar took the initiative to organise the thanksgiving at Bashyam Circle.
The programme began with a flag-hoisting and singing of the national anthem. Kumar said the tricolour was carried symbolically by a team consisting of an Asha worker, a nanny, a civilian and a police constable.
City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao and local BBMP corporator Deepa Nagesh participated in the event. All the corona warriors were honoured with a shawl and a certificate.
