Corona suspect ‘escapes’ from hospital

Mangalore cops told to get him re-admitted to Wenlock

BENGALURU:

In a major scare, a corona virus-infected person has ‘escaped’ from a hospital in Mangalore. The suspect had arrived from Dubai on Sunday night and was isolated at Wenlock Hospital.

The Karnataka health department has confirmed that the passenger left the hospital against medical advice. Department officials said the the police had been alerted and the authorities had been advised to bring back the patient to the hospital immediately.

A health official said: “The passenger is not at Wenlock. He went against medical advice. The police have been informed and a surveillance team is at his home with the police. He will be brought back and admitted.”
