Ashoka is now Bengaluru’s Covid-19 Minister
BENGALURU:
With active cases in the state capital crossing the 500-mark and experts predicting a surge in infections, Revenue Minister R Ashoka has urged Bengalureans to step out of their homes ony if absolutely necessary.
On Saturday, the minister sent out a strong message on the need for heightened precautions, at the same time asserting that the state government was ‘well-prepared’.
Ashoka tweeted: “Coronavirus cases are on the increase in many parts of Bengaluru and I urge the public to stop unnecessary travel. Wearing a mask is a must when going out for essential work. I request people to carry out their business and other activities while maintaining social distance.”
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಕೊರೋನಾ ಸೋಂಕು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಓಡಾಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಸ್ಕ್ ಧರಿಸಿ ಓಡಾಡತಕ್ಕದು. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಂತರ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ-ವಹಿವಾಟು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
