Cops detain MLA’s kin over ‘provocative’ post

The police have detained Naveen P, a relative of Pulakeshi Nagar MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy, whose Facebook post reportedly triggered a mob attack on the MLA’s house and the KJ Halli police station.

City police commissioner Kamal Pant, taking stock of the situation late on Tuesday night, said Naveen was in police custody and his posts were being scrutinized.
