BENGALURU:
The city police have arrested Dinesh (29), who was named by TV actress Chandana in a selfie video she had made in the process of taking her own life by consuming poison on May 28.
Dinesh had been absconding after the incident and was arrested on Saturday from a jungle in Chikkamagalur.
In the ‘suicide video’ shot at her house in Krishnamurthy Layout in Tavarekere, Chandana had alleged that the two had been in love for 5 years, and that Dinesh had taken Rs 5 lakh from her on the false promise of marriage.
Following the incident, Karnataka Women’s Commission chairperson Pramila Naidu had called for his arrest.
