Karnataka government’s Advisory to IT firms; Asks to extend work from home for techies till next Dec
BENGALURU:
With the Bengaluru Metro rail resuming operations on Monday, September 7, here’s all you need to know about timings and requirements. (picture credit: Alfred Tennyson)
•Trains will operate between 8 am and 11 am, and between 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm, with a frequency of five minutes.
•Trains on the purple line will begin from September 7, and those on the green line from September 9.
•From September 11, trains on both lines will operate from 7 am to 9 pm with a peak hour frequency of 5 minutes and a non-peak hour frequency of 10 minutes.
•Passengers will have to use smart cards as tokens will not be sold.
•Face masks are compulsory in the Metro premises.
•Commuters have to maintain social distancing of 2 metres.
•A maximum of 400 passengers will be permitted to travel in each train at any one point of time.
•Alternate seats will be kept vacant in view of the Covid threat.
