Bommai urges optimal utilization of resources of road transport corporations
BENGALURU:
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has instructed the committee headed by retired IAS officer MR Srinivasmurthy to submit an interim report at the earliest on the revival of the state road transport corporations.
Chairing a meeting on Wednesday with the committee, which has been constituted to suggest measures for financial self-sustenance and resource mobilisation for state road transport corporations, the CM asked committee head Srinivasmurthy to ensure speedy completion of its task.

Harness their potential: CM
The Chief Minister shared his views and expectations on the rejuvenation of the state road transport corporations, and wanted the committee to identify their potential and come up with recommendations for their optimal utilization.
Revenue generation from the assets of the transport corporations, optimal use of the workshops, efficient use of human resources, improvement in the services of the transport corporations and use of technology were some of the issues discussed at the meeting.
Srinivasamurthy briefed the Chief Minister about the measures taken since he assumed office as head of the committee.
