Yediyurappa also praises incentives like Rs. 6,750 crore towards EPF payment
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has wholeheartedly welcomed the Centre’s Rs 3 lakh crore relief package for the MSME sector, saying it will benefit 45 lakh such units across the country.
In a press release, he congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Rs. 20 lakh crore package for the revival of the economy, announced on Tuesday, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the Rs. 3 lakh crore aid to MSMEs announced on Wednedsay.
The CM also praised other incentives like the Rs. 90,000 crore aid to electricity supply companies of states, payment of Rs. 6,750 crore towards the EPF contribution of employees, and Rs. 30,000 crore aid for NBFCs.
He said the ‘no global tender’ policy for up to Rs. 200 crore would stimulate the growth of Indian companies.
Yediyurappa noted that none of the other Covid-affected countries had announced such a huge economic revival package. “This is a bold step towards motivating people to exit the lockdown and resume work,” he said.
