CET begins sans hiccups



With the CET kicking off on Thursday, Minister of Higher Education and Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan reviewed the precautionary measures at MES College in Malleswaram and Seshadripuram Composite PU College.

The DCM expressed his appreciation of the measures taken by the Transport, Health, Police and Higher Education Departments. He also interacted with the students and got a positive feedback from them.

A total of 1,94,356 students are taking the test in 497 centres across the state. In Bengaluru city, 40,200 students are taking the test in 83 centres.

In all, 40 students are Covid-positive. Of these, 12 are in Bengaluru. 7 students are taking the test at the Gnanabharathi Centre and 5 at GKVK Centre. “They were brought in an ambulance and will be dropped home too,” the DCM said.
