BENGALURU:
A meeting of the Cauvery Water Management Authority is scheduled for today at 2 pm in New Delhi.
During this virtual meeting, the order passed by CWRC will be reviewed. The CWRC had previously ordered Karnataka to release 3,000 cusecs of water daily from October 16 to October 31.
The struggle over Cauvery water continues in Mandya, amidst the CWRC’s directive to release water to Tamil Nadu. The workers of the District Farmers Welfare Committee are currently protesting in front of the Visvesvaraya statue in Mandya. They have also blocked the Bangalore-Mysore highway, expressing their frustration and discontent.
