Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan alleged that the Congress party is creating confusion about the Citizenship amendment Act and trying to divide the country.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Gulbarga University postgraduate centre in Raichur, Ashwath Narayan claimed that the CAA is not a new thing. Everyone has talked about the CAA since Independence — from Jawaharlal Nehru to Manmohan Singh. However, it is not right for his party to create confusion, he added.
He said: “There is no new debate on the CAA in our country. Is it possible to expel minorities out of the country? There is no such thing in our country.”
