BWSSB Chairperson Reviews Progress of Water Supply, Sewerage Projects
Bengaluru: Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) Chairperson Dr N. Manjula chaired a progress review meeting to assess the status of key projects and administrative initiatives undertaken by the Board.
During the meeting, the Chairperson reviewed the progress of ongoing works, installation of new water meters, maintenance of sewage treatment plants (STPs) and administrative activities. She directed officials to expedite the implementation of all ongoing projects.
Dr Manjula also instructed officials to commission a comprehensive study by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on Bengaluru’s groundwater levels and the current status of borewells to facilitate scientific and evidence-based water resource management.
BWSSB Administrator Madan Mohan, Chief Engineer Dalayat, Financial Adviser Subbaramaiah and other senior officials attended the meeting.
