Karnataka CM reviews work of six departments on dashboard’s first day

BENGALURU:

On the lines of the dashboard of the Prime Minister’s Office, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday launched the ‘CM Dashboard’, which allows him to review the progress of various departments on a single digital platform.

The dashboard will provide up- to-date information about various projects to the Chief Minister. Speaking on the occasion, Bommai directed officials to record accurate information on the dashboard. On the first day of the dashboard going live, the Chief Minister reviewed the performance of departments like Revenue, BBMP, Energy, Education, Housing and Rural Development.

Update it daily: CM

The Chief Minister directed officials to update the dashboard every day and stressed that there should be no room for confusion. Nodal officers and heads of departments should take a keen interest in the new system, he added.

Officials should pay equal importance to both planning and implementation. Senior officials must ensure that staff at the grassroots level deliver facilities to the last man. Effective implementation will bring people closer to the system and they will feel that someone is there for them. “We need to strive to achieve this objective,” he said.
