First Division Assistant demanded bribe to clear BBMP contractor’s bill
BENGALURU:
In a trap laid at BBMP’s head office on Tuesday, Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths arrested a First Division Assistant for accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe.
As per a press release by the ACB, the arrested FDA is H Raju.
“A resident of Seshadripuram is working on a contract to supply furniture to BBMP offices and quarters. He was in the process of getting his file approved in BBMP’s administration wing. First Division Assistant H Raju demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant to approve the pending bill,” the release reads.
Raju is currently deputed to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Admin). He has been detained and the bribe money has been seized.
