BJP Alleges Tender Norm Violations in Karnataka Road Works Exceeding ₹1,000 Crore
Bengaluru: BJP Karnataka on Tuesday alleged that tender rules were violated in road works valued at more than ₹1,000 crore and questioned Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi over the award of the contract.
In an X post, the party claimed that objections raised by the Finance Department and provisions of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act were disregarded.

BJP further alleged that an L1 bidder had been disqualified but a fresh tender was not called, and accused the minister and the Congress government of corruption. The attached graphic labelled the matter a “₹1,000 crore PWD tender scam”.
The party did not attach the tender documents, Finance Department objections or procurement records cited in its allegations. Responses and supporting records were sought from Jarkiholi, the Public Works Department and the Karnataka government, and were awaited.
The report will be updated if and when a response or supporting records are received from the departments or individuals concerned.
