Big fat wedding for MLA’s son, Covid caution be damned
Invitee Sriramulu does not think a mask is ‘healthy’!

Flouting all Covid-related precautions, a Congress MLA organized his son’s marriage at Harapanahalli taluk in Ballari recently. Among the guests were former Chief Minister Siddaramiah and Health Minister B Sriramulu.
Following a complaint by the tahsildar, the local police registered a case against Congress MLA and former minister P T Parameshwar Naik and his son.
According to the police, a large number of people attended the ceremony, violating the cap of 50 invitees, and there was little social distancing or wearing of masks.
Videos of the event showed high-profile invitees like Health Minister Sriramulu, former CM Siddaramaiah and former minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge at the function.
The Health Minister was seen in a video not wearing a mask, in violation of his own department’s guidelines. Moreover, he was surrounded by people with not a thought to social distancing.
