Private: BESCOM Urges Consumers to Use WhatsApp, Social Media for Faster Power Complaint Registration
Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has appealed to consumers across Bengaluru and surrounding districts to use dedicated WhatsApp helpline numbers and BESCOM’s official social media platforms to register electricity-related complaints, especially when the central 1912 helpline is unreachable.
BESCOM stated that consumers can now directly report power outages, transformer issues, damaged lines and other electricity-related problems through region-wise WhatsApp support numbers.
The power utility has also encouraged citizens to use its official social media handles for faster grievance registration and response.

Consumers have been advised to send messages along with photos or videos of power-related issues to help officials quickly identify and resolve problems.
