Bengaluru: Footpath encroachments were cleared and streetlights installed in the Bengaluru South City Corporation area, while damaged footpaths were repaired in parts of the Bengaluru West City Corporation, as civic works were taken up under the Ward One campaign.
The works were carried out on the direction of Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda.
Bengaluru South: encroachments, streetlights and drains
In the Bengaluru South City Corporation limits, the works included clearing encroachments on footpaths, installing streetlights, removing silt from roadsides and fitting drain slabs, among other tasks.
Bengaluru West: footpath repairs in Malleswaram and Govindarajanagar
In the Bengaluru West City Corporation, damaged footpaths were repaired in Sadashivanagar ward of the Malleswaram division to make movement easier for pedestrians, and cleaning work was carried out.
Damaged footpaths were also repaired and cleaning work done in the corporation’s Govindarajanagar division.

The month-long Ward One campaign, which began on November 1, focuses on repairs and clean-up in selected wards across the city’s five corporations.
