BENGALURU:

The Election Commission of India has officially declared a by-election for the Bengaluru teachers’ seat, which was left vacant by Puttanna. Puttanna, who resigned from the BJP and the Legislative Council during the assembly elections, has created an opportunity for a new representative to be elected.

The election notification will be released on January 23, and interested candidates can submit their nomination papers until January 30. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on January 31, and the last day to withdraw nomination papers is February 2. The voting process will be conducted on February 16, starting from 8 am and concluding at 4 pm.

The counting of votes will be held on February 20. The State Chief Electoral Officer, Manoj Kumar Meena, has stated that the entire election process will conclude on February 23.
