Bengaluru sees 3rd cop’s death from Covid-19

Within the space of just a week, Bengaluru has witnessed the deaths of three policemen from the deadly coronavirus.

The latest victim, a 59-year-old assistant sub inspector (ASI) who died on Sunday early morning, was working with the Wilson Garden traffic police station.

He tested positive on June 18 and was admitted to Victoria Hospital on June 19. 

An ASI attached to the VV Puram police station was the first city police casualty,  while a Kalasipalya police station head constable was the second fatality.
