Karnataka sees whopping 9,386 Covid cases, 141 deaths
BENGALURU:
While Karnataka reported 2 single-day highs of 9,386 fresh cases and 141 Covid deaths, the state capital on the other hand witnessed more discharges than fresh infections. On Thursday, the tech city saw 3,357 cases and 3,362 discharges, along with 59 deaths. The state’s death toll is now 5,232.
As per the data shared by the Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Department, Bengaluru has seen 80,893 discharges till Thursday, while the city also has 35,989 active cases in 28 different hospitals.
The total number of infected people in the state is now 3,09,792. Counting the 7,866 discharged on Thursday, 2,19,554 have made a full recovery. A further 84,987 people are receiving treatment at prescribed Covid hospitals.
