Karnataka 29,744, and 201 deaths
Bengaluru has reported another spike of 16,545 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total caseload to 6.7 lakh, while 105 related fatalities pushed the toll to 5,905, the Health department said on Monday.
Karnataka also accounted for 29,744 cases with 201 deaths.
The day also saw 4,313 patients getting discharged after recovery in Bengaluru while Karnataka saw 10,663 discharges.
Cumulatively 13,68,945 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 14, 627 deaths and 10,73,257 discharges,the Health department said in a bulletin.

Out of 2,81,042 active cases, Bengaluru has highest 1,92,669 active cases, while 1,815 are in Intensive Care Units.
While the positivity rate for the day stood at 17.87 per cent, the case fatality rate (CFR) was 0.67 per cent.
Among 201 deaths reported on Monday, 105 were from Bengaluru Urban, Ballari (18), Hassan (10), Mandya (9) seven each from Kalaburgi and Mysuru, five each from Dharwad, Kolar, Ramanagara, followed by others.
Mysuru, with 1,563 cases was behind Bengaluru Urban, Tumakuru 1,197, followed by others.
