Karnataka reports 6,570 new cases, 36 deaths
State reported positive cases at 6.04 %
BENGALURU:
For the third straight day, Bengaluru has reported 4,000 plus Covid-19 cases with 22 deaths. On Thursday Bengaluru saw 4,266 Covid-19 positive cases. The overall daily figure for Karnataka was 6,570, crossing the 6,000-plus mark for the second consecutive day.
Of the other fatalities, three are from Kalaburagi and two each from Bengaluru Rural, and Mandya while One ach from Belagavi, Bidar, Dharward, Kolar, Mysuru, Tumkuru and Vijayapura.

- April 5: 3,728 cases and 18 deaths
- April 4: 2,787 and 8 deaths
- April 3: 3,002 and 6 deaths
The 6,570 new cases of Covid-19 take the total caseload statewide to 10,40,130 and the death toll to 12,767, the Health Department said.

In the districts where the new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 4,422, Kalaburagi 240, Mysuru 216, Tumakuru 183, Dakshina Kannada 145, Uttara Kannda 142, Bidar 129 and Ballari 126 followed by others.
Out of the 53,395 active cases, Bengaluru has 38,946 while 357 are in the ICU. In the last 24 hours, Karnataka has reported positive cases at 6.04 % while the state’s fatality rate is 0.54%.
