Bengaluru: In a somber update, the state has recorded one additional death attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total toll to four. Today, health authorities conducted tests on 420 individuals, with 354 undergoing RT-PCR testing and 66 tested via rapid antigen tests (RAT), according to a statement from the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The Health Department is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and implementing measures to control the spread of the virus. While there is currently no cause for alarm, officials urge the public to remain vigilant and adhere to safety precautions.
In the last 24 hours, the state has reported 58 new COVID-19 cases. The Health and Family Welfare Department confirmed that, during the same period, 53 individuals have successfully recovered from the virus. As a result, the number of active infections in the state has risen to 238.
Of the active cases, 225 individuals are in home isolation, while 13 are receiving treatment in hospitals. Notably, one patient is currently on artificial oxygen support, as reported by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The department continues to emphasize the importance of public health measures to mitigate the impact of the virus and protect the community.
