Bengaluru: The Bengaluru City Police have reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards road rage, reckless driving, and weapon use on city roads, after a shocking incident near the Lingarajapuram flyover went viral on social media.

According to police, the incident occurred during the evening rush when a miscreant attacked a goods auto driver with a long, sword-like weapon, allegedly over an old rivalry. The attacker also smashed the vehicle’s glass, creating panic among bystanders.

The viral video quickly reached the notice of police officials. Based on CCTV footage and local inputs, Lingarajapuram Police identified the accused, registered a case, and successfully arrested him. Officials confirmed that strict legal action has been initiated.

Issuing a stern warning, Bengaluru City Police stated:

“Road rage won’t get you anywhere — except into trouble. Weapons, aggression, and reckless behavior have no place on Bengaluru streets. Offenders will face strict action. If you witness such incidents, dial 112 immediately.”
