Bengaluru: Residents of Bengaluru North City Corporation can raise waste-collection complaints in a dedicated phone-in held every Tuesday from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, with the fourth session set for November 3, the corporation said.
The corporation has also prepared block-wise micro-plans for waste management across all seven of its divisions, under the directions of Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar.
How to reach the control room
- Mobile and WhatsApp: 9480685705
- Landline: 080-22975936 and 080-23636671
What you can complain about
The phone-in is only for solid waste issues, the corporation said. Citizens can raise waste-collection vehicle timings, pourakarmika services, the collection system assigned to their locality and difficulties in disposing of waste.
It will be held under the Zonal Joint Commissioners, with the DGM present, the corporation said.
What the micro-plans cover
The plans aim to coordinate door-to-door collection, street mapping of pourakarmikas, movement of auto tippers, and identification and management of bulk waste generators.
They were drawn up area by area, taking into account blocks, households, shops and establishments, population, and the quantity and type of waste generated, along with pourakarmika and auto-tipper details and routes.
They also cover compactors, mini transfer stations, markets, commercial areas, parks, bus stops, playgrounds, hotels, restaurants, garbage black spots and high-density residential areas.
