Bengaluru CCB finds 38 foreigners sans valid papers, 7 overstaying
Sleuths seize ganja, Ecstasy from foreign nationals
BENGALURU:
Central Crime Branch sleuths conducted surprise raids in the city against overstaying foreign nationals and found 38 staying without valid documents while 7 foreign nationals were overstaying in the city.
During the search, the cops also seized ganja from two foreign nationals while 90 Ecstasy pills were seized from a Nigerian national’s house.
“Early morning checks being conducted by CCB on houses where foreigners staying. To check for overstaying/ anyone staying without documents. Searches still going on,” said CCB’s Joint Commissioner Sandeep Patil in a statement.
The search team included 6 ACPs, 20 inspectors and more than 100 constables.
