Chairman Vishwanath asks CM to set up SIT to look into forged documents
BENGALURU:
Bangalore Development Authority chairman SR Vishwanath has appealed to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to form a special investigation team to investigate the scams at BDA since 1985.
Vishwanath, who met the CM on Tuesday, said the BDA board had decided to request the government to form an SIT in the wake of forged documents being created in the names of BDA officials, including the Commissioner.

VIshwanath, who represents Yelahanka in the state assembly, said BDA over the last several years has been creating layouts for needy citizens but some unscrupulous agents have been selling sites by creating fake documents and duplicate records.
In connection with his request for an SIT, the CM had sought a detailed list from the BDA Commissioner, Vishwanath said. BDA would not tolerate corruption amongst its staff, he added.
