Civic chief’s advisory urges Bengaluru apartment dwellers to avoid use of swimming pools and gyms
BENGALURU:
With the number of Covid infections surging by the day in Bengaluru, BBMP has thought it prudent to put out an advisory especially for Resident Welfare Associations.

Among the guidelines:
• All residents, house helps and visitors should be checked at the entrance for temperature and masks, and should use hand sanitisers.
• Common areas like railings should be sanitised with sodium hypochlorite, while strict Covid protocol should be observed in other common areas like walkways and parks.
•Apartment dwellers are urged to avoid use of common facilities like swimming pools, gyms and clubhouses.
•Parents are urged to educate their children on the seriousness of the situation and to see that their children wear masks while outdoors.
•Residents are urged to comply with the containment norms of BBMP as spelt out in its advisory, to have internal monitoring committees and to have representatives to coordinate with the civic health authorities.
