Neighbours and officials were panic-stricken on Sunday after a police constable working in the ADGP’s office and the wife of an assistant revenue officer in BBMP tested Covid-19 positive.
As per the health officers, the 46-year-old was getting cancer treatment in HCG Hospital, very close to the BBMP head office, and she was tested for Covid-19 after her immunity level started dropping.
A resident of Srirampura, she is listed as P3008. Her husband is under tremendous pressure as he and other family members are her primary contacts.
“We are trying to get the primary source from which P3008 got infected. It is necessary for us to to get the information on priority as the ARO visits many offices in BBMP and it is essential to trace his contacts,” an official said.
Constable tests positive
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old police constable, named P3195, has been admitted at a designated Covid-19 hospital. His contacts are being traced.
