After thebengalurulive stories on the unattractive compensation offered for Covid work, the civic agency hiked it from Rs 45,000 to Rs 60,000
BENGALURU:
Three days of walk-in interviews by BBMP could attract only 19 MBBS doctors for Covid duties, despite the civic agency hiking its remuneration especially for them from Rs. 45,000 to Rs 60,000.
As per data shared by the civic agency’s PRO, the walk-in-interviews once again attracted BDS and Ayush doctors but not MBBS doctors. The posts are temporary for a period of six months.
Earlier, thebengalurulive in two stories had highlighted how BBMP had offered only Rs 45,000 and found only 2 takers with an MBBS background, forcing it to hike the offer for them to Rs 60,000.
The walk-in interviews were held over 4 days in all, and a total of 19 MBBS doctors and 308 doctors with a BDS and Ayush background were recruited. 428 group D staff were also recruited.
