BENGALURU:

Waterlogging near Thiruvalluvar Statue Circle on Gangadhar Chetty Road in BBMP ward 90 has caused a lot of inconvenience to commuters in recent days. On Sunday, BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta visited the spot and instructed officials to resolve the problem. He instructed officials to complete the side drains, clean up the small drains, and take up white-topping of the road later.

The stretch from Dickenson Road to Ulsoor Road and the adjoining storm water drain will be cleaned up. Along with this, newly sanctioned work on the side drains will be expedited. White-topping has been completed on Anna Swamy Mudaliyar Road, except for a 150- metre stretch towards St. John’s Church Road.

A storm water drain in front of Gurdwara Road will be cleaned. Near RK Mutt Road, a building owned by BBMP will be used for health-related services, the Commissioner said.

During the inspection, Joint Commissioners KR Pallavi and Sarfaraz Khan, Chief Engineers Lokesh and Prahallad, Prabhakar from the engineering section and other officers were present.
