Bengaluru: ASC Centre & College, Bengaluru, observed Animal Transport Remembrance Day on September 26, 2026, with a tribute at the Animal Transport Memorial to those who lost their lives in the line of duty, Defence PRO Bengaluru said in a post on X.

Major General Mohit Mahendroo, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, and personnel of all ranks at the institution paid homage at the memorial, according to the post.
The Defence PRO said the mules and muleteers of the Army Service Corps have played a vital role in sustaining the Indian Army in high-altitude and remote operational areas for more than two and a half centuries.
The post highlighted the continued service of these animals in extreme weather and difficult terrain where vehicles have limited or no access. It described their contribution as an enduring symbol of courage, sacrifice and commitment to duty.
